Friday Faves - Scary Movie

Hey There,
I got an email from Blogamama about Friday Faves - Scary Movies. I absolutely LOVE scary movies and watch them quite often. I prefer the older ones and originals (not those fake remakes!) and my kids keep telling me the old ones are phony, their not scary enough, etc. Well when I was growing up they were plenty scary to me! Not so much any more, but they are still fun to watch!
So I am supposed to tell you what my favorite scary movie is. Well I have a bunch that I love so I'll just name a couple ;)
I love : The Fog (original); The Blob (original); Whatever Happened To Baby Jane; Psycho (original); The Sixth Sense; Final Destination; The Haunting (my kids hate it!); Identity; Hush, Hush, Sweet Charlotte; Resident Evil; Storm Of The Century and anything with Vincent Price! Sorry , but this IS the short list!
I totally Hated: The Ring; The Grudge; Dark Water(waste of time & film); and The Eye.
And Lastly the Most Demonic Movie I have ever seen (after watching it I destroyed the DVD and then threw it out and then had to go pray...Seriously) was Silent Hill.

So there you have it, my Friday Faves. HaHa, I can't wait to read your comments!

Beautiful song on your site!

I am not a fan of scary movies myself! Just came across your blog and wanted to let you know about a free giveaway I'm hosting - come check it out! Thank you! Have a great weekend!

I can't watch scary movies...they, well, scare me! I watched some while I was growing up and couldn't sleep for a week afterward because I was convinced someone was in my house. Crazy I know. So, I steer clear of scary movies. I'm sure if I liked those movies, we would age on some though!

I'm not a big fan of scary movies but I have seen the Sixth Sense and I love it. Thanks for visiting me. Have a blessed weekend.

Ever since I have had kids of my own...I can't watch scary movies! I don't know why...they just bother me a whole heck of a lot more than they used to.
Although, now you have me curious about Silent Hill... 27 October, 2007 11:33

I don't like scary movies either! There is one with Audrey H. and she is blind but I can't remember the name of it.... I will ask Kelly cause she loves it!! Thanks for visit!! Blessings, Grams

PS I don't think I spelled Audrey right....

I can see that you watch way more scary movies than I do. Sixth Sense was one of my fave scary movies too. I thought Resident Evil was too freaky for me.

I used to watch them for the shock value or entertainment value but now we mostly laugh through them, critique them, or analyze them.
But my youngest daughter (13)dosn't get to watch them. I watch them first and then let her know if it's suitable and if it is then I watch it with her.
But my older kids (22,21,18 &17) we have a ball watching them together!

I totally understand about having to pray after watching certain movies. I was like that after watching The Hills Have Eyes. And I only watched the 1st half hour before leaving the room. I felt HORRIBLE inside and just prayed and prayed and prayed...

Normally I stay away from scary movies, although the 6th sense was a good one.

Wow, "The Hills Have Eyes" I couldn't even watch. The trailer for the movie did it for me, the same thing with the movie "Saw". I wouldn't dare!

I love scary movies too. I haven't had much time in the last year to watch many movies though.
