Happy Sunday!

I have been sitting here in my office going through some paperwork that I have been putting off, and making some list of other things still to be done. Thinking about money for Christmas gifts. Organizing bills, thinking about things on my desk at work to be done on Monday and going through a list of handymen to call and get estimates from. Thinking about the money for home repairs once I get an estimate that I can stomach.

So in the midst of all of this STUFF, I stopped to open the blinds in the office. As I sit and look out the window I am listening to my family downstairs laughing and playing with each other, while watching football. I can hear my grand baby clapping and crying at the same time, as she tries to decide if she likes or dislikes our 2 new cats. We have watched Danayja (my grand baby) crawl toward the cats laughing to play with them, but when they approach her to fast she starts to back up and cry, as if unsure of what they may do to her. So she claps at them (she claps when happy), but also cries with uncertainty. (It is very interesting watching her do this clap/cry thing simultaneously).

So, as I look out the window I am all of a sudden struck by the beauty of what God has created! I am looking at green grass, hearing the birds chirp, watching them as they fly from tree to tree. I am watching as the wind blows and the leaves then settle in radiant colors on the green grass backdrop, and I am over whelmed! We as people do the same thing that my grand baby does. We run/crawl eagerly (Happy & clapping!) towards life and the blessings that God has for us, but then we often stop short of the blessing/breakthrough for FEAR of what may come next! We fail to enjoy life and that more abundantly because we are afraid of the future! It hit me like an epiphany! WOW! That is really deep (at least it is to me)! That is certainly something to think about. Don't miss out on your blessings, don't let fear stop you!
Well, I am going downstairs to enjoy my family!

This is a great post. A good reminder to just sit back and think about how blessed we are. I know I need to have more trust in God in knowing that everything will work together for my good. No need to worry or be afraid. Thanks for this post!!

You are deep! I'm sure in my pre-sleepy days I was a deep thinker too, I just can't remember those days right now ;) So glad you are loving/enjoying your family so much. Babies are so wonderful and do remind us many times of what is really important in our earthly life! Thanks for the reminder!
