Who am I, What am I ?

Good Evening All, (This is a long one, but VERY IMPORTANT, please read it all!)

Since Wordless Wednesday is just about over I have a few words to get off my chest! But first of all I want to thank each and everyone of you lovely bloggers who took time out of your busy work filled, school filled, child filled, fun filled, grocery filled, etc day to stop by my blog and check out my very first Wordless Wednesday! It was so much fun, and I traveled the web and saw so many AWESOME pictures today, and one very strange hairless cat one (interesting). It was all amazing, and I thank you for stopping by.

Now, I had a very interesting conversation earlier and I want your honest opinion on it.
I am an African American woman and as was pointed out to me 98% of the comments on my blog come from Non-African American people! I do not control who stops by my site, I just follow links and comment on whatever blogs interest me! Now, my position is that people are people. I can identify with someone who has children, because I have 5; I can identify with someone whose weight fluctuates, because mine does; I can identify with Christians because I am one; I can identify with black people because I am one; I can identify with women because I am one. I have a country song on my blog because it is a good song, but I also have Jazz, Classical, Gospel, and Pop. I happen to like music that makes sense, that tells a story, and that has a purpose.

So as you can see I fit into all kinds of different categories. It does not make me more or less of anything. It makes me a very interesting person! I was raised in NYC by a mother who appreciated the arts, life, history and culture. The people I interacted with were White, Black, Asian, Muslim, Hassidic Jews, Christians, just to name a few. So I urge you all to open up your eyes and see the world for what it has to offer …a wealth of diversity! You just might learn something!

I pray everyday (not to a black God, but to an Almighty, Sovereign, omnipotent, All-sufficient, all-knowing, all-seeing God!) to my Lord and Savior, and I say, “Lord help me to exemplify YOU in everything I say and do this day”. God commands us to LOVE, He is no respecter of race, creed or color!

So in closing I must say, don’t judge lest you be judged! Love is the greatest gift! And in the words of Natasha Bedingfield from her song “These Words”;
These words are my own From my heart flow I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you That's all I got to say,Can't think of a better way,And that's all I've got to say, I love you, is that okay?

Good Night and Abundant Blessings!

I have just fallen in love with your blog because of this post! Your words put in a nutshell what I feel about diversity and discrimination - thank you! I feel exactly the way you do - we should celebrate and enjoy the rich cultural diversity out there. We're all unique and that's good! Brilliant post Regina :-)

Gill, Thanks for stopping by and reading it! Being new to blogging of course the goal is to get traffic on your spot and make new connections, and friends so I pray that my post dosen't turn people off BUT I felt it had to be said, and let the chips fall where they may!

Have an awesome day!

This was a great post! I have leared a lot through blogging about many different people and many different cultures. We may all seem to be very different, but what it all boils down to is that we are really all very much alike.

Amen, girl! Loved that post! (and I love your blog -- you're off to a great start, I hope you enjoy it!)

You said it sister! I am in total agreement with you on this one...what does our race have to do with any of it? We are all people. By the way, you asked who am I....well, you are a loving, caring, person who can inspire and uplift others who cross paths with you!
