Join The Day To Read Campaign!

While making my way through the long list of about 40-50 blogs I try to read daily, I came across this post at Gill's.
It is a reading campaign... don’t make that face, you do lots of reading…you are reading this blog right now aren’t you?? Then you can join this reading campaign. The campaign is this:

January 10, 2008 has been designated as the DAY TO READ. On that day we join the collective challenge to spend some time READING A BOOK! If you are a blogger, join us by stepping away from the keyboard for all or part of the day and spend that time reading something you enjoy. Next, report to us and others what you've read. You can do this in a dedicated post or a comment Here after the DAY TO READ has passed. If you are so inclined, please post the DAY TO READ button on your blog. Pass it on! The button, the news about the day, the challenge to others to read, read, read, read, read! Not a blogger? Then you can leave me a comment here with the results of your DAY TO READ experience. That's it. No challenge could be easier to meet. Please join us.
Please also let Allison at "Soccer Mom in Denial" know that you are joining in, by commenting on this post. She is writing a weekly "Who is reading" post and would like to include the names of all bloggers who are participating.
so you have a couple of weeks to think about what you want to read. You still have time to put a few books on your Christmas list! So get your book and join us!

Oooo- I love this idea. Now, I don't know if I can step away from the computer ALL day- that's asking a lot. If I were to do that I would certainly start to twitch- and if I am twitching how will I be able to read my book?

Anyways- I'm off to go check out Allison's blog. Thanks for spreading the word.

Nice to know we'll both be reading on 10 January! Unfortunately I'll be working, but I will definitely clear some dedicated reading time in my schedule. {{Hugs}}

I left this comment on Melanie's blog too- but I really don't think I can stay away from blogging all day. The thought of it makes me break out into a sweat and feel sick. ;) Even when I don't post anything, I still check out all the blogs I read each day. Maybe I should cut back??

I'm in...don't count on me staying away all day...but you got me for a couple of hours at least (((smile)))

I am participating with this one too but I haven't made a post about it. I'm such a slacker! But I really plan to get it done before next week ends!

Happy Sunday!
