Day To Read...

Well, bloggers I hope you didn't all miss me too much. I am back from my "Day Of Reading" and I see that the world is still turning. But I must admit I did think about blogging... I was thinking hummm what did Hailey do today? And what is Marva up to? What new Pulpit Pimp did Bria expose today? What is going on in the Village? What is on Marcus' mind? Is Pam having a good day? what did Choc write in her diary? Is Grams OK?
But then I got down to some reading. First of all I got my "Gospel Today" magazine in the mail and was totally and completely pissed off with the cover story! UUUgggghhhh! I know there are more things going on in the gospel world than this foolishness... I am not impressed or pleased!

So I had to move on to something a little more enlightening. so I read this magazine...So then I moved on to the books. I am actually reading two books at the same time...

So bloggers, that is how I spend my "Day of Reading. Did you read something good yesterday?

I definitely did the blogging thing yesterday...BUT, I also took some time to read and I really enjoyed it.

I didn't read yesterday. :( But I am going to take the time to read a few chapters of "World Without End" by Ken Follet while I do laundry. :)

Good for you Regina, all accept that Gospel Today madness, triple yuk!!

My daughter has been home from college since a week before Christmas and she goes back to school next Friday, so I've been spending a lot of time yapping it up with her, going to the movies and just hanging out. She's my best bud, I miss her when she's away at school.

I'll jump back in my books once she's back at school.

I'll be posting about what I read a little later, but in the meantime I have given you the "blogaholics award" over on my blog :-)

Hi Regina,

Oh my, what a huge reader you are!
Those look like good books to spend time with. I wonder if they have it here in the local book stores. Anyway, it's nice to know that you love reading. I do too. Although I have to catch up on books... lols... but I'm well stacked up on magazines... the Readers Digest especially. :-D

Bye for a bit. See you soon.

I blogged but I also read.
I have been reading through the book of Job with some other women bloggers. And last night i finished 90 minutes in heaven.

I am a tad urked that the Weeks just won't be quiet. The things that I have heard on TV have made my blood boil.
Don't they know that everytime they open their mouth HIS reputation is on the line? "FOR HIS NAMES SAKE"?
Where are the accountability partners for these two?
Sorry--just had to go there. 12 January, 2008 15:20

It was neat of you to think of me on your reading Day!! When I get done blogging today I would like to read one of my Cozy Murder Mystery's !! Who done it's! Not gory... Just finding out who did it!!! Love and Hugs Grams

Rosemarie 13 January, 2008 21:47

Nope, Thursday I was working on numbers most of the day, and then took my daughter out for some fun.

PS The Weeks and all those other church fools need to stop!

Hi Regina! What a good idea! As an avid reader, my reading time has suffered since blogging. Over the holidays I have tried a new discipline in that area. This is a great idea husband would be thrilled with it!

I have to say, what a yukky cover for that magazine! I am disappointed they would use their ministry opportunity in that way. I am not interested in ANYTHING MR Weeks has to say...

Love Juanita, pray for both of them, sick of the whole entire thing!

Ok, I feel better...hope I have not upset anyone, I do not usually "go here' in my blogging! Yikes!

Thanks for the reading inspiration! Great reading material you had :) sounds good!

Thanx very much for the link-love in your DAY TO READ post. I don't do nearly enough reading. Right now I have three books open in my house ... and I haven't finished any of 'em yet!

peace, Villager
