Happy Father's Day!!

First let me give Honor to my biological father who is no longer with us.
Samuel Thomas Spencer 1947-2001. I Love You Dad and wish you were here... Rest In Peace.

Secondly, I want to give Honor to God, my spiritual Father, Maker of the heavens and the Earth, without whom nothing is possible. Thank you Father for all that I am and all that I have. I thank you for your protection, and your direction and for all of the many blessings you have bestowed upon me!

Thirdly, and the true inspiration behind this Father's Day post. To my son, who is now a Father. I love you son and honor what you have done, are doing, and will do in your life. I thank God for you. Without the benefit of a positive male role model in your life you have grown into a promising, inspiring, strong, Man that I am so proud of. Your decision to serve the armed forces of this country is commendable and honorable and I love you for it.
I love you for the way you treat your wife and for the way you treat your daughter. I love you for the way you protect your sisters and for the brotherly love, and kinship you share with your younger brother. I love you for the way you have grown and matured, and for your positive influence on others. I love you because you are the manifestation of 1 of my 5 most cherished blessing from God. But mostly I love you because you are YOU!
Happy Father's Day David!!! Wish you were here...

Love Mom...xoxo

In honor of My Father & My Son & All the Fathers worldwide, I have a song for you... A song about the love of a daughter to her father.

What a sweet post, you made me cry. And I think I've got a pretty good guess as to why David is such a good parent- he has a wonderful mom!

Happy Father's Day to you too Regina because you had to work extra hard to be a mom and a dad.

MrsGrapevine 15 June, 2008 19:49

That was a good song, I should have chose it. I couldn't think of a good daddy-daughter song, and as much as I love this album, I can't believe I forgot about this song.

Aww... you are going to make me cry, I understand the love between a mother and son, and to see your son give that love to a child of his own is probably to say the least priceless.

Your post has brought tears to my eyes. I saw the beautiful photos, stopped scrolling and began to read. What a beautiful tribute to the men in your life. I was especially moved by your words to your son, for there is much love and pride in them and rightly so. Your son is an honorable man for serving his country. I thank him and I thank you. God bless you and your family always.

Ms. Regina you always depict respect and honor in truth. Here you exemplify the blessings of a mother and a daughter, and those that share in your joy are better for it.

SheCodes 16 June, 2008 07:47

Wow that was nice. He may not have had a positive male influence in his life. But I know he had a positive female in his life.

You did a great job.

I thank my mother as well as my sister for influencing me when I was looking for guidance.
