Old School Friday #18 Gospel/Praise...

You Know What It Is!!!!
It is...FRIDAY!! Which is my favorite day of the week because I get to post my "Old School Friday" Picks! In case you are new around these parts and don't know what "Old School Friday" is, well it is grown folks MUSIC! Yes we post some music that comes from some time before 1999, (hopefully) to relive some memories, and to educate or just entertain each other.
Ms Grapevine and MarvalusOne have teamed up to create a meme titled Old School Friday and since I love my music I had to sign up to join! To join in the Old School Friday Fun go Here for guidelines.

The theme for this week ,

Here are the other "Old School Friday" participants:

If you are like me than you can play a song for every situation in your life, so I have tons of inspirational songs and singers that I love. But Fred Hammond and Marvin Sapp are two that I listen to daily. They both have newer songs on the market but these two songs speak to my Spirit in a way that can't be explained. So in keeping with the rules I will post 2 videos BUT they are not technically Old School (sorry!)

Fred Hammond - "Song Of Strength"

Marvin Sapp - "You Are God Alone"

Have a great weekend!
Happy OSF! Peace & Love!!

Regina it's nothing like worship music and Marvin Sapp is great at it. For you are God alone is a powerful song.

Fred is a favorite and Marvin is it! I have a few of Marvin's tunes including your selection on my computer, but I get my praise on to "One Thing."

I have canceled this morning's activity to get my fill today of worship music. Give me music for my soul!

I love this week's theme. It feeds the soul big time. Have a wonderful weekend Regina!

Cassandra 20 June, 2008 12:10

Regina, great minds think alike... I chose Fred Hammond and was thinking about Marvin Sapp too!!

These two songs should be on everyone's ipod.

When there are things that I don't understand or can't comprehend, Marvin reminds me.

I know this weeks theme has nothing to do with me then I again I feel like it is for me.

I know that listening to all these songs are making me sit and think.

I haven't listened to gospel music in general for a minute. I like these songs. I have to look them up and download them so I can really listen to them again.
