Words Of Wisdom About ... Healthy Eating

I started a series of posts titled "Words Of Wisdom About". Every Tuesday I will publish a post titled "Words Of Wisdom" and they are Words of Wisdom from various guest posters and guest bloggers about various random topics that I choose. This is my third installment. Enjoy!

Hi! My name is Heidi and I am a 39 year old married stay at home mom living in Kansas City, who is trying her best to get the health thing down. I started Health Nut Wannabee Mom blog to share all the interesting and helpful tips that I learn on getting healthy and staying that way. I am a vegetarian, animal rights advocate and avid animal rescuer and love blogging.

Want to fight wrinkles, get some sleep, speed up your metabolism, or chase those blues away? Great news-you can just by eating the right foods! In today's world it is so hard to keep up with all the things to do and eat to stay healthy. Most of us want to be fit and healthy but sometimes I think it can be so overwhelming. That is why I started my blog and am health nut wannabe mom. I was so confused as to the best ways to lose a few pounds, and was tired of trying to weed through all the nutrition and fitness information on the ways to keep my family and I in the best possible health. I am so excited to share with you some of my favorite foods and what they can do for you. So, if you want to fight wrinkles, get some sleep, speed up your metabolism, or chase those blues away? Great news-you can -just by eating the right foods!

Healthy Foods To Help You Have A Great Nights Sleep-Foods that are high in carbohydrates and calcium, and medium-to-low in protein make ideal sleep-inducing bedtime snacks. Meals that are high in carbohydrates and low-to-medium in protein will help you relax in the evening and set you up for a good night's sleep. Try some of these out and you will be getting those well needed zzzzzzzz's.
**Bananas, low fat dairy, Almonds, Oatmeal, Tofu, Rice, Tuna Fish Sandwich, Chamomile Tea, Turkey, Beans (have a nice bowl of mild chili-mmmmm), Whole grain crackers with peanut butter-honey would be great on this too, Potatoes, Whole Wheat Bread, Flax Seeds, Honey and Lentils. A couple of my favorite bedtime snacks are a bagel with peanut butter and a warm glass of organic milk.

Feeling Blue? Try These Nutritious Foods To Give You A Boost-We've all had those days when we feel down and don't know why or we just need a pick me up (actually we have had those days when we are outright terrors if the truth be told). These healthy food choices will actually help to rev your engine and chase those blues away. Hello sunshine!

**Beans, Bananas, Oranges, a little dessert (yes, you heard me right-dessert), Sugar soothes us when we're feeling stressed out but keep in mind that moderation is the key here, Spinach, Lentils, Walnuts, Salmon and Chocolate (woohoo for chocolate but again moderation is the key here and the best type of chocolate you can have is the dark chocolate).

Fight Wrinkles With These Super Food Choices! We can fight wrinkles by changing our diet and eating certain healthy foods. This is great news! Beauty from the inside out and you'll feel better too.
**Olives, Tomatoes, Kale, Spinach, Salmon, Beans, Goji Berries, Dark Chocolate, Prunes and Turkey. I also found several articles linking consuming too much sugar to causing wrinkles. I suppose that cutting down on the sugar would be a good idea.

Super Foods To Rev Up Your Metabolism-Isn't this terrific! These foods can actually boost your metabolism while you eat them. This is definitely eating smart.
**Nuts, Low-Fat Dairy, Tofu, Green Tea (at least 32 ounces a day is recommended), Lean Meats, Whole-Grain Cereal, and Coffee.

What I have discovered through reading and changing my diet is that most any problem that we have can be helped if we just take the time to pay attention to what foods we are putting in our bodies. I can't help but say that I am eternally grateful that chocolate is on a couple of these lists too!!

Thank you all for giving audience to Heidi, of HealthNut WannaBe Mom! Please sound in, leave a comment and also go by HealthNutWannaBe Mom and pay Heidi a visit!

Hi Heidi,
Thanks for all these wonderful tips. And thank you Regina for having her as a guest.

I try my very best to eat as healthy as possible. I had to get my cholesterol under control.

It really is so easy to get used to healthy eating even if you're a junk fan addict.

After only about two weeks I was adjusted and lost all of my cravings for all of those bad carbs.

Great share thanks again!!:-)))
