First Day Of School!

Today was the first day of school for Lady T!! For those of you who don't know about her new school please read THIS POST! Such excitement in the air!

She had New Student Orientation last week. At the orientation she met some of her chef teachers, picked up her books and received all of her equipment!

Now you may think that is not a big deal but MAN, she got a lot of stuff! She had a bag full of books, a box with some steel toe boots, a box with her student chef uniform, and a small suitcase full of kitchen tools (imagine ALL the stuff in your kitchen drawers and more!).

She has knives, measuring cups, meat mallots, pastry stuff, cake decorating stuff, and all other manner of goodies!
It is like Christmas in that suitcase!

She is excited and I am happy and excited for her!

This is so wonderful Regina, I am so happy for her. Good cooking takes real passion!

Lady T and I are kindred spirits when it comes to cooking. I would absolutely LOVE to go to cooking school. I'm a good cook now, but to learn to do so professionally and expand my cuisine knowledge would just be wonderful. Perhaps one day.

Oh I remember these days!
All the excitement and anticipation. The panic thinking I didn't know what I needed to know.

I loved my knife set.....don't have them anymore...they disappeared along the way. But I still have a little something for a sharp chef knife. Nothing like feeling the nice glide as you are cutting. See I still have a little chef in me.
Once I got into the kitchen I moved on from the boots to the clogs. It was so much easier on my back and feet. I did have to make sure and put them up at night because my dog thought they tasted mighty good. They were a little expensive to be dog treats.

I don't miss the uniform...but she will get used to it. Hopefully her kitchen is not as hot as ours was.
Can't wait to hear more details.

I'm proud of that young lady for identifying what she loves to do and going for the golden ring. You SHOULD be proud. You're a great mom!
