Hey Shae! 17 October, 2008 06:07

Saturday Love has such a nice groove. I like Alexander and Cherelle together.

Rick James & Teena Marie duets were big business back in the day. If you could get them to sober up and sing a song, it would be magic. Happy OSF!

Blog Queen 17 October, 2008 08:14

fire and desire has got to be one of the most seductive love songs i've ever heard...thanks!

Torrance Stephens - All-Mi-T 17 October, 2008 10:37

clnmike 17 October, 2008 13:28

Good picks, happy OSF.

Thembi 17 October, 2008 13:46

iriegal 17 October, 2008 15:58

No you didn't break it off with AIN'T NO STOPPING US NOW!!...awwwwwwwwwwww...sooky, sooky, now

but you came correct with Alexander O'Neal and Cherelle that was the bomb song back in da day..

Villager 17 October, 2008 19:12

Happy OSF! Those are three great selections. I had forgotten all about Saturday Love and I appreciate being able to listen to it again today...

Thank you for visiting my OSF post today. I invite your blog readers to check out Billy Preston & Syreeta if they have time or inclinaton. These two had a great duet back in 1981 that I think y'all will enjoy!

peace, Villager

Believer 1964 17 October, 2008 19:15

Laugh if you want to, but I know all the words to "Ain't No Stoppin' Us Now" and had hands raised movin' to the beat. This was the best pick, in my opinion. Awesome!

By the way, definitely needed after cleaning up the house after a 4 year old. ;)

Hagar's Daughter 17 October, 2008 21:15

McFaden & Whitehead's jam is one of those songs that get you motivated to keep on keeping on.

Happy OSF

Vivrant Thang 17 October, 2008 21:20

I have said this on almost every blog. But I was seriously about to post Fire and Desire. I can say that because for some reason, it took me forever to decide. LOL!

You knocked it out the box with some TRUE old school. Very nice Miss Regina :)

Cassandra 17 October, 2008 21:40

Regina, I forgot about Rick James and Teena Marie...LOVE THIS SONG!!

You are so wrong for the third vid!!LOL.

MsMarvalus 17 October, 2008 22:24

Very nice! I think Fire and Desire is my fave...but Saturday Love is right...and Ain't No Stopping Us Now had me grooving...well, hell they all are just good!

tee hee hee...

MrsGrapevine 18 October, 2008 00:41

I am going to start with the last song because it's hot. Most duets are sad or lovey dovey, but this song makes you want to get on the dance floor and work it out.

Alexander O'Neal and Cherelle were the first to come to my mind...They are like the Marvin and Tammi of the 80's...

Dori 18 October, 2008 10:11

Love all three. My favorite is "Ain't No Stopping Us Now"...a great song to keep motivated. Whenever I hear this song, I just feel good. And I love Alexander O'Neal and Cherelle...this takes me back. :-) Alexander O'Neal from time to time is over here performing and I always think about going. I may have to drop in to see him. I love his voice. Thanks for another great selection Regina. :-)

cooper 18 October, 2008 14:39

Fire and Desire, now that is sweet.

Marcus LANGFORD 20 October, 2008 11:15

i like all of these songs regina; you have picked some greatness in these melodies. the rick james/teena marie duet is most likely the most memorable with "ain't no stoppin' us now" running close behind.
