Want To "BUY" A Senate Seat

Well, Well, Well...Why do some "ELECTED" officials think they are above the law?
Illinois Governor, Rod Blagojevich has been arrested by Federal Authorities because he allegedly was trying to SELL to the highest bidder the senate seat left vacant by President-Elect Barack Obama!

A 76-page FBI affidavit says:

Otherwise, Blagojevich considered appointing himself. The affidavit said that as late as Nov. 3, he told his deputy governor that if "they're not going to offer me anything of value I might as well take it."

"I'm going to keep this Senate option for me a real possibility, you know, and therefore I can drive a hard bargain," Blagojevich allegedly said later that day, according to the affidavit, which also quoted him as saying in a remark punctuated by profanity that the seat was "a valuable thing — you just don't give it away for nothing."

The affidavit said Blagojevich also discussed getting a substantial salary for himself at a nonprofit foundation or an organization affiliated with labor unions.

It said Blagojevich also talked about getting his wife placed on corporate boards where she might get $150,000 a year in director's fees.

He also allegedly discussed getting campaign funds for himself or possibly a post in the president's cabinet or an ambassadorship once he left the governor's office. He noted becoming a U.S. senator might remake his image for a possible presidential run in 2016,
WOO HOO! Can you say CRASH & BURN!! He was trying to pull out all the stops for himself and his wife, wasn't he??

My, My, My...

9 People Saying Something!

There are going to be a lot more people trying to get on the Obama band wagon.
People don't get it. It's not politics as usual. I don't even think it's about Obama. I think God's behind this, so folks better be careful. They are messing with God's stuff now.

Regina I just read this on The Post. This is crazy. How can you possible think you can get away with this?

PaulsHealthblog.com 09 December, 2008 16:10

Absolute power corrupts, absolutely.

Hi Regina. You crossed my mind today.

Wooow. She's getting big! :)

I hope you're well.

Happy Holidays to you and your family.

Hey Shae! 09 December, 2008 21:03

That's crazy. You're right so many people truly think they are above the law.

Hello there,

This is yet ANOTHER example that things are still operating as usual - even after Obama was elected! People were caught up in the bubble, thinking that all will change in our nation now that Obama was elected... the corruption that lurks in the hearts of people WILL NOT vanish just because the sun rose on November 5th and we had a biracial man as President.

It will take A LOT to dismantle the corruption and greed in the American political system ...it has persisted for centuries.

Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!

To be that bold about it?

No he needs to do time.

AJ 09 December, 2008 23:01

I hope they don't try to connect Obama to this nonsense.

I can't believe this guy....To be that bold and arrogant about something like this. I'm glad he was caught and on his way to jail.
