Women need to pay attention to that list because we tend to think when a man is bombarding us with attention it's a sign he loves us. It's more than likely a sign he's obsessed with us and obsession is not love, not even during the infatuation stage.

Thank you for reminding women of the signs.

I'm so glad that you posted this. Women and men alike need to know the signs of abuse. I'm tired of the cycle. When will it end? I've spoken out against domestic abuse because I've been a victim. I can't tell it all , but I thank God that I'm a man that stands against domestic violence.

This is an interesting list because there are a few things on it that I am, but I'm not an abuser-never have been and never will be, it's just not in my nature to be an abuser, even moreso since I never saw my dad abuse my mother.

Hey there Regina,

There are women who don't think they are in an abusive relationship...

One of my friends is a successful executive... her husband set a rule that she can't have phone calls AFTER 10:00 p.m. and she follows this rule when he's in the house and not traveling on business.

He also tells her what she can and can not wear and he has chosen clothing for her that I know she can't stand that she wears for HIM!

He also told her that she was forbidden to speak to me...so she told her secretary to send me an email!

This is not some young wife either...she's older than I am...

He doesn't use physical violence but he certainly uses emotional domination.

His power trip began BEFORE the wedding. She wanted a honeymoon and planned it all out and he didn't so she cancelled the whole thing and she didn't have a honeymoon. Gurlll...
