Gone With The Wind ...Almost!

I think there is an interesting weekend coming up around these here parts! There may be an update family post, but it is not official yet so you will have to check back on Monday for the updated family news!In the mean time...
We grilled out back last weekend and my beautiful mother bought a gazebo to go in the back of the house! She says that she bought it for her, but I can use it until she moves! Okay, whatever Mema!
Anyway, The Chef & my nephew put it together. There were a gazillion pieces ... but an hour later it was fabulous!
It has 4-screened sides to keep bugs out, but you can also unzip and pull back the sides to let the air flow. It provides great shade in the backyard! It is AWESOME!!

Last week on Tuesday & Wednesday we had some winds that were about 40-50mph. Let me tell you this little gazebo almost blew away like a kite! Despite the anchored poles and anchoring ropes the wind had that thing almost in my neighbors yard! We caught it once and re-anchored it. Yeaaaa, that did not work because 15 minutes later we had to run out back and catch it before it blew away! I am by no means a small woman and I was hanging on to that thing with all my strength yelling for my daughter to hurry up and come help me!! I was blowing and trying to stay on my darn feet!
We decided to dismantle it and put the daycare wagon on top to keep it from taking flight! But, finally yesterday, we were able to put it back together!Yesterday was a BEAUTIFUL day! We sat outside forever!
Today is windy ... again.

That was a cool adventure. Even though it was a little hair raising, it sounded like you guys had fun battling the wind. That's a story to tell your grand children, haa haaa haaa. You can tell them that the winds you were battling was the end of a tornado. You did good. Keep writing.
