Tree Fabulous Tree!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
We finally got our tree up last week.  I usually do not wait this long to put it up but this has been a very strange year and everyone has been stretched, physically, mentally, and financially.  I went to the Kroger store numerous times and saw the line of Christmas trees sitting outside the store waiting for me to buy one.  I even checked the prices a few time, $24.99 and 29.99.  Not bad prices, not bad at all!  But every time I looked at those tags and then looked in my pocket and then looked at my shopping list..... well the tree just did not make the cut!  But in the back of my mind I knew that we had to get a tree for my grand baby.  He just turned 2 in November so this is the first Christmas he can actually help put somethings on the tree!
As the days passed by I saw the crowd of trees getting lower and lower. I do not gamble but in my mind I was playing a betting game which included lowering prices and lowering supply.  I figured if we wait long enough we could get a tree at a reduced price!  One day there was 50 trees, than 20, then 9, then the store was down to 4 trees.  I knew that once that last tree sold the store of course would not get any more so we made the decision to buy, buy, buy!  And wouldn't you know it... We hit pay dirt!  Well it was not like winning the lottery or anything ... even though that would have been nice!  But I do like a bargain and when the store was down to 4 trees, the store was also getting rid of Christmas stuff at 50% off!  So we bought our tree, we also got 2 strands of beads, and 2 boxes of white lights all for less than $20!!!!  Oh Yea! Keep in mind that the tree itself was supposed to be $24.99!!!  So yes we are happy!  Grand baby got to help hang some of the ornaments and he had fun taking the tinsel OFF the tree and putting it on the floor!  But at the end of the day it is FABULOUS!
