I am talking about the Serenity Prayer.
God, grant me the Serenity
To accept the things I cannot change...
Courage to change the things I can,
And Wisdom to know the difference.
This is only the first part of the untitled prayer written by theologian Reinhold Niebuhr. This prayer is also widely recognized as the mantra for AA (Alcoholics Anonymous). The rest of the prayer is:
Living one day at a time,
Enjoying one moment at a time,
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is,
Not as I would have it.
Trusting that He will make all things right
if I surrender to His will.
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
And supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.

What does worrying get you? As the bible says, it does not add a single hour back to your life, so why worry. It will accomplish ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Instead of worrying, use that same time and energy for something more productive like praying, talking to the Father, or reading the word.
Matthew 6:34: Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Don't worry! Be Happy!

2 People Saying Something!
Wonderful post. All I can say is that you said a mouthful.
I definitely have to work on my "worrying." I believe it doesn't show God that I trust Him very much when I stress over things.
