Tell the readers a little bit about yourself.
I am a loving mess! I absolutely love spending time with my family and all of my babies (Nieces & Nephews). I’ve been in ministry since the age of 19 and have a passion for the “rejects”.  I feel part of my purpose in life is to minister the gospel to youth who have given up, headed down the wrong path or have no idea who they are. I’ve been blessed since graduating college in 2000 to travel throughout the US and Canada managing multi million dollar agreements and relationships and enjoy every moment of it! I love the gift  of love and my top priorities are being a wife and mother.

Explain what type of business you operate?
JADA, Inc. is a nonprofit agency providing mentoring programs for middle and high school youth in the Arlington, Texas area. The program will form partnerships with local school districts and the juvenile court system. JADA, Inc.'s goal is to foster a commitment to young people that will promote pro-social friendships, strong interpersonal skills, and reassert a sense of hope in the future.  The program will focus on the following seminar topics: Dream Planning, Etiquettes, Finances, Relationship and Self Esteem!

How long have you been in business?
Officially around a year but mentoring from my home over 7 years. I’ve been involved in youth ministry since I was a child, Director of youth departments, Sunday School teacher, Youth choir director, etc. I’ve always enjoyed working with youth in ministry, for some reason they seem to love me back!

How did you get the name for your business?
I don’t mean to sound so spiritual but God gave it to me. After spending two days scribbling various names, Shannon INC, S Girls etc. I was exhausted and went to bed. The next morning I remember opening my eyes to hear the whisper…”Just  A Dream Away”. When I went to write the name down, the acronym was may daughters name (JADA). So in short, “God named my baby”. (Regina: Awww, That is sweet!)

What motivated you to start this type of business?
I was motivated to start mentoring as part of my deal with God. God is really my business partner and years ago before graduating from college we entered into a special agreement. Part of that agreement required the higher or further he would take me and the more exposure he granted me access to, I would never forget where I came from and would always reach back and help someone else.

What are your top 5 must have business tools/aids?
1.    1.   Character (Regina: Can I get a AMEN on that Character! Some people are lacking that in business today.)
2.      Vision
3.      Social Media for Marketing
4.      Biblical Curriculum
5.      Creativity
Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In 5 years I see the program continuing to minister to youth in our own custom designed building. I see the youth of JADA, Inc. totally running every part of the business and the graduates of the program becoming Sr. Mentors. I see our program as the place to be in the Arlington/Mansfield area!

What inspires you?
I’m inspired by love. Love is my inspiration to see a young girl that has made some mistakes, chosen to give up or perhaps settle for less and walk right up to her, look her in the eyes and tell her, you are who God’s says you are and you can have everything God says you can have. To stand face to face against a lost, torn, hurt and hopeless youth and motivate them to DREAM again, to DREAM BIG and remind they that DREAMS DO COME TRUE.

Who is your business icon or who’s business ethic do you admire?
I admire so many but my top three are my mother, Anna McCoy and Pat Smith.
My mother by far is my number one b/c she taught me it doesn’t matter where you start, it matters where you finish and with God ALL things are possible.
Anna McCoy has been so instrumental in my life encouraging me to build my foundation on the word of God and how character and integrity are must haves to be successful. NOW is always the time for me to walk in my purpose.
Pat Smith has been a constant reminder that life and my JADA Inc. program are a process and I must take the time to take care of me and Treasure the gifts that God has given to me. (Regina: AWESOME! Some people disregard the need for MENTORS and SUPPORTERS! You Got it RIGHT!)

If you were standing in front of a room full of hopeful, promising, entrepreneurs what would you say to them?
I would say to them “Before you set out to accomplish your dreams and your heart desires, I would like to strongly encourage you to enter into a personal agreement with the CEO of the universe and whatever the arrangement is between the two of you, don’t ever give up on God b/c he will never give up on you!”

Is there anything you would like to add?
Thank you so much for this opportunity!

No! Thank YOU for agreeing! I hope to hear much more from you and JADA in the future!
