Tell the readers a little bit about yourself.
I am a rising CEO from New Orleans.  I am very passionate about life and its possibilities.  I'm embracing God's plans and purpose for my life while also striving to make an impact on the lives of women that I encounter.  My aim is to encourage them, and let them know that they can also live the dream without out limits.  I am becoming stronger and more influential every day.

Explain what type of business you operate?
I operate Perfected Magazine and A Better Me Network.  Perfected Magazine is an empowerment magazine for women focusing on career and business advancement.  Perfected Magazine is the perfect balance between business and lifestyle.  A Better Me Network is an inspirational platform to uplift and connect women with strategies and resources to become self-sufficient.  We host an annual seminar to bring community partners together to provide resources to our members in a less traditional and more welcoming environment.

How long have you been in business?
I have been in business since 2009.  A Better Me Network launched its first seminar in August 2010 and Perfected Magazine launched its premier issue in April 2012.

How did you get the name for your business?
Perfected Magazine came from a time in my life when I realized that living the best life possible is not about being perfect, but rather putting forth 100% effort in finishing whatever you start with the right intentions and ambitions.  Perfected Magazine understands that reaching your goals is a process that will require commitment and will include setbacks.  A Better Me Network came from a place in life where I accepted all of my flaws, imperfections and mistakes, and made a commitment to becoming better each day.

What motivated you to start this type of business?
I am an encourager and motivator by nature.  Everything that I discover in life that has set me free, I feel I have a mandate to impart that information or strategy to others who are seeking answers.  I remember praying and seeking insight to change those difficult situations in my life.  When I started my business, I knew that there was a great need for a one-stop shop of inspiration, empowerment, and direction.  I am not perfect, but I am a perfect candidate and voice for empowerment.

What are your top 5 must have business tools/aids?
Laptop, Digital/Video camera, Voice recorder, notepaper, and Internet!

Where do you see your business in 5 years?
In five years, I see 500,000 to 100,000,000 Perfected Magazine subscribers, Top advertisers in our 200 page monthly issues, powerful media presence, and sold out Expos.  A Better Me Network will have a thriving full service resource center located in New Orleans. (Regina: Now THAT is a goal! And I believe you will succeed!)

What inspires you?
Need or Lack!!!! Yes, I said need or lack...It’s a very dark place when you don't have the essentials of life.  I strive everyday so that I don't have to experience lack and ensure that all of my needs are met.  I personally believe in order to make an impact on the lives of others your foundation has to be secure.  Positioning is everything.

Who is your business icon or who’s business ethic do you admire?
Mary J Blige!!!! She is grounded and passionate.  Mary J. Blidge and Steve Stoute founded FAWWN (Foundation for the Advancement of Women Now). (Regina: MJB most certainly is a hard-working woman!)

If you were standing in front of a room full of hopeful, promising, entrepreneurs what would you say to them?  Live your dream without limits.  Don't allow lack to hinder your purpose.  Spend time dreaming big and be strategical.  Embrace obstacles because they often tend to be provision for you.  Be ready!

Is there anything you would like to add?
Thank you for this amazing opportunity.

Thank YOU for sharing with us Ashley!  I look forward to hearing about your next successes!

Regina
