A Proud Moment AND Life Lessons!

I NEED to take a minute out to give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to my youngest son Sam the Man!  He just made Produce Manager at his job (KROGERS)!
Interesting story.... Sam has put in a couple of years at the Kroger company in a couple different stores.  He was determined and had a goal that he stuck with.  Now EVERYONE ELSE (INCLUDING ME) were telling him to change jobs, do something else, go back to school, etc. Everyone were saying things like, why do you want to stay at the grocery store, or what is the future in that, or you should quit and get a better paying job, called him grocery store boy, etc, etc, etc blah, blah, blah. HOWEVER, Sam had a goal and despite ALL the NAYSAYERS (me included) he ACHIEVED his goal!  I am not to proud to admit I WAS WRONG! So at 22 years of age Sam is a Manager of a department, AND with his almost $6 per hour raise that came with the promotion, I believe he is now making the most per hour of all my children and his cousins.  I appreciate that he choose to stick to his path despite what others said and I am proud of his accomplishment!
My son reminds me of my grandfather Caldwell. M. Middleton.  My grandfather was not a rambunctious man. He was steady. He went to work, he smoked his cigars or pipe, and listened to the baseball games on the radio. He was easy going, God-Fearing, and a HARD WORKER.
My son is like my grandfather in the ways of demeanor. My son works hard, is dependable, does not run the street, and is pretty much content to live and work and relax!  The first lesson here is to STICK TO YOUR GOALS IN-SPITE OF ALL THE OPPOSITION! The second big lesson here is BELIEVE IN YOURSELF EVEN IF NO ONE ELSE BELIEVES IN YOU! The last lesson is GOD WILL HONOR WHAT YOU PUT YOUR HANDS TO! I honor my son's tenacity, his determination, and his dependability. AND EVIDENTLY so does KROGER!
CONGRATULATIONS! SAM THE MAN!

With an accomplishment THIS BIG they had to get the President to deliver the news!!

I LOVE YOU SAM! Keep up the good work!

I too am proud of my grandson. Well actually I'm proud of all my grandchildren, but this is about Sam - 22, a store manager, living in his own place , about to purchase his 2nd car and a help to his mother. You just gotta love a young man like that. God bless!
