Dolce And Gabbana, What Are They Selling?

I came across this picture earlier today on Facebook.  I do not think the picture is ART and I do not think the picture is purposed to sell me anything other than destructive images designed to further corrupt an already corrupted world. I know there are "TRUTH IN ADVERTISING" laws but what about TRUTH IN IMAGERY laws??  The Small Business Administration (SBA) says, 
Advertising laws are aimed at protecting consumers by requiring advertisers to be truthful about their products and to be able to substantiate their claims. All businesses must comply with advertising and marketing laws, and failure to do so could result in costly lawsuits and civil penalties. So before you start an advertising campaign, it's important you understand some basic rules.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is the main federal agency that enforces advertising laws and regulations. Under the Federal Trade Commission Act:
Advertising must be truthful and non-deceptive
Advertisers must have evidence to back up their claims
Advertisements cannot be unfair
Maybe it is just me but I find this photo to be disgusting and disturbing.  I cannot tell if this is supposed to be selling clothes or perfume or rape and abuse.  When you look at pictures and advertisements they are supposed to be selling you something, OR they are making a statement.  What statement is this picture making or what is this image selling?  
This picture from DOLCE and GABBANA is supposed to make us feel something, THINK something,and DO something... The question is WHAT???  What could this picture possibly want us to feel, think, or do?  Images are very powerful, they attack your senses before you even know what hit you.  In an advertisement the picture is what grabs your attention before you even read the words or know what is being sold.
DOLCE and GABBANA are known for being SEXY and cutting edge.  The Dolce and Gabbana corporate website says, 

Dolce&Gabbana is the new luxury, authentic and unconventional. A style that expresses new forms of elegance, presenting itself as a modern classicism, based on superior sartorial content and creativity.
The strong identity of the Dolce&Gabbana brand has evolved over the years without ever forgetting its roots. An unmistakable style, which, season after season, combines strong innovation with the Mediterranean flavour of its origins. A brand whose essence lies in its contrasting features. 

HOWEVER, to me this does not say LUXURY, or ELEGANCE, or STYLE.  To me this says something very different.  Something DARK, SINISTER, and very DESTRUCTIVE.
Of course some will say, "It is ONLY a picture, ONLY an advertisement, ONLY artistic imagery," Some will also say, "STOP being so SENSITIVE, it's NOT THAT SERIOUS"!
REALLY??? ..... (According to the website),

It is definitely dark and unnecessary. I agree it looks like a gang rape, and there's nothing sexy about gang rape, and there's nothing sexy about the message that they are selling. In this day and age people are doing the most for attention, but at some point you have to know when you've gone too far.

This is shock for shock's sake, and nothing else. Empty and tasteless!

This is way over to top to me! Looks like a sultry rendition of what is about to be a gang rape. So sad how sex sells but I know this much... I am NOT buying it!


I love it. The models and clothes are gorgeous. It screams "sexy" and "irresistible" to me, so I think the marketing is aimed at those of us who like it racy.
