Now the good stuff, MY review!
This book was very, very interesting! The author bared her feelings, fears, mistakes, and triumphs in a very real and endearing way. The author, Kristine McGuire has been a witch, a medium, and a ghost hunter. Kristine has worshiped idols, talked to, and worshiped goddesses, floated in the astral plane, cast spells, and other things. However, at the end of it all, she has experienced the redemptive, loving power of God and she talks openly and honestly about her experiences. This book is a testament to the grace, mercy, and faithfulness of God in spite of ourselves.
This book would be a good read for book clubs, as well as reading groups. At the end of each chapter there is a section entitled “Digging Deeper” which contains a scripture and a few questions. These questions help to make the reader think about what they have read and break down the understanding of chapter and the scripture reference. The book has a glossary of occult words that are used in the book so the readers can get a better understanding of what Kristen is talking about. The book also contains a section with commonly asked Questions and Answers. This book is a must read for anyone who has ever been involved in, been curious about, or wondered what God says about the occult.
On a scale of 1-10, I give this book a solid 8! This book is available on the Amazon and Christianbook websites as well as other book stores and sites.
Blessings!
Regina
