Well 2012, as Juliet said in Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, "Good night, good night! Parting is such sweet sorrow, That I shall say good night till it be morrow.".
2012 was a year of ups and downs, joy and pain, accomplishments and disappointments. A year of discovery, discovery of life, ambition, expectation, and realization. I found out that people are quick to believe what they want to believe instead of embracing the truth. I realize that no matter how advanced the world appears to be, some old time thinking and behaviors will ALWAYS be the norm for some people. I learned that no matter how you were raised and what you were taught what really matters is how you act, how you behave, and how you treat others.
The New Year is a couple hours away. Some people are just barely making it into 2013. Some are limping into the New Year, battle weary. Some are running into 2013 as if a magic door is about to close, running for their lives. Some are gliding into 2013 on received or expected glory. And yet others are nonchalantly walking into a New Year as if it were just another day in the life. But no matter how you get into 2013 the NUMBER ONE BLESSING of 2013 is being alive to see it! Not everyone will make it into 2013. I know people who have lost loved ones in 2012. I know some are grieving even now as I type these words. I pray for them, I pray for their strength, peace, and comfort. I know there are many who frivolously say things like, "I hate my life" or "I no longer want to be here" or as the younger generation often say, "FML" (which means F*@k My Life). Without knowing how they are cursing themselves. Without realizing that life is precious and it is a gift.So as you get ready to step into 2013, take a minute to reflect on what you have done, what you have said, and how you made others feel. Reflect on what you can improve and what you can change about YOURSELF! Take the time to thank and praise God for the gift of life that HE has bestowed upon you.
What are YOU going to do with that life? What will YOUR tomorrow bring?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This is how I am feeling! I'M FEELING GOOD!!!
Peace and Love All!
