An Insider's Guide To Spiritual Warfare - Book Review

I recently read a book by Kristine McGuire that was very interesting. This is the second book by Kristine McGuire that I have read. I read AND reviewed her book "Escaping The Cauldron" (you can read that review HERE).

Well once again, it is October! Halloween season. The time of year when many Christians are unsure if they should or should not celebrate Halloween or how they should respond to it.
I have my own personal opinion about Christians who celebrate Halloween or celebrate a replacement “event” for that day. I have blogged about it before, asking people about their honest opinions on the subject. You can read those comments HERE and HERE! But I digress!
So anyway, I just read this book by Kristine McGuire…

* Baker Publishing Group via Glass Road Media Management has provided me with a complimentary copy of “An Insider’s Guide to Spiritual Warfare” to read in order to write my review.*

About The Book:
Former Witch and Medium Reveals Satan's Strategies from behind Enemy Lines
Although we live in the physical world, our daily lives are connected--whether or not we realize it--to the spiritual battle raging around us. Having spent years as a medium, witch, and ghost hunter before being restored to her faith, Kristine McGuire has been on both sides of the battle line. Here she offers unique insight for every Christian, revealing the favorite tactics of the enemy and the deceptions behind the paranormal so popular today.
McGuire also gives 30 battle-tested strategies for victory, making this the practical go-to guide to what goes on behind enemy lines--and how to respond without fear.

So, NOW The Good Stuff: MY REVIEW!
First of all let me say that is is an AWESOME marketing move to publish this book in October, Halloween month! MARKETING GENIUS! Too publish this book around Halloween time is good marketing because of the subject matter. The talk of witches, demons, etc is always better in October! For any one who does not know or believe YES! SPIRITUAL WARFARE is VERY REAL!
Ephesians 6:12 tells us...
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
I love this book! I especially love the 30 Strategy Points (Thank You Kristine for making it plain!!)! Two of my favorite strategy points from this book were # 20 Walk away from arguments without taking or giving offense! And #25 Reject the world's belief that the dead can return to dwell or communicate with the living!

I think this is a good book for novice as well as experienced spiritual warriors! Other things about the book that I love are that at the end of each chapter there is a "Your Turn To Reflect" portion with questions to help you reflect on what you read. The book also has a "Take Action" portion at the end of each chapter to help the reader incorporate what they read into their daily life. The book of course has a scripture reference at the end of each chapter to help you tie it all back to the Word of God.
This book is good for personal spiritual enrichment, book clubs, and bible study.

On a scale of 1-10 I give this book an solid 9 1/2!
